Diaper bag
Having the necessary items to change a newborn or infant’s diaper, particularly when away from the home, is a recurring challenge for parents and others caring for newborns and infants. When a mother goes out with a baby, she generally has to bring many articles such as diapers, feeding bottles, and so on, which are necessary for the baby while away from home. When away from home, a parent or other adult is frequently accompanied by an infant in diapers. Also quite frequently, the infant’s diaper must be changed while away from home, in surroundings that are not equipped with infant care products. For this reason, most adults having care of an infant while away from home carry such infant care products with them in a diaper bag. A diaper bag is often carried which includes supplies, such as a number of diapers, baby wipes, blankets and/or towels, as well as other items used in changing a newborn or infant’s diaper. A diaper bag has been developed which can sufficiently contain such articles that are necessary for a baby while away from home, and which can be used as a backpack, handbag, and shoulder bag for convenient carriage according to the circumstances. Most diaper bags are soft-sided, and due to lack of support, tend to collapse when opened. In the collapsed state, the diaper bag assumes the shape of its contents, collectively. This is not conducive to rapid and convenient assess of the various compartments which may be available. A conventional diaper bag generally has a cushion material tucked in a surface facing a user’s back, in order that a burden applied to a user’s back is relieved when used as a backpack. Such a diaper bag may also have a sheet for changing diapers as an accessory, on which a baby is laid when changing diapers away from home. Diaper bags are typically fabric bags having various openings and enclosures therein for storage of infant care products, such as baby powder, tissues, baby formula, diapers, etc. Of course, as the amount of storage space in a diaper bag increases, its portability decreases. Most diaper bags are designed primarily to store and transport consumables, that is, the baby care products which are consumed in caring for the infant while away from home.
